Watch And Listen!

It’s a big weekend for women’s sport, in particular football and rugby. You’re invited to a rugby party, but if you’re unable to join us or get to a venue to watch a football match, here’s what you should be tuning into at home!
Women’s Football Weekend
Women’s Football Weekend is here and it’s the biggest date in the calendar for the women’s game! We all remember the excitement and emotion of watching England’s Lionesses bring football home last year, and this weekend is yet another celebration of the incredible talent and the community that make up the domestic leagues in England. Tickets are still available for some huge games taking place with crucial points up for grabs in the Barclays Women’s Super League, Barclays Women’s Championship, the FA National League or beyond. But, if you can’t get to a venue, don’t worry because matches will be shown live on BBC, Sky Sports or on The FA Player.
Women’s Six Nations Rugby Championship
Can England’s Red Roses win a fifth Women’s Six Nations title in a row? We’ll be watching England take on Scotland tomorrow, 25th March, at a special Red Roses Watch party at Valderrama’s in Islington. We’d love you to join us (see invitation) as this will be a fun party that won’t finish when the final whistle blows, plus you might be lucky to win tickets to England’s final game versus France on 29th April, to be played at the iconic Twickenham stadium. The Women’s Six Nations championship kicks off with Wales v Ireland at 2.15pm, and all matches will be available to watch either on BBC2 or via BBC iplayer.
Female Athlete Podcast
Feeling sluggish today? Don’t fancy going for a run or attending your usual spin class? Listen to The Female Athlete Podcast, which helps to shine a light and bring focus to topics around the female body and sport and exercise which have originally gone under the radar. Presented by three curious young women; journalist Lucy Lomax, Dr Georgie Bruinvels and Dr Jess Piasecki, this podcast isn’t just for female athletes, it’s for everyday women who want to learn and understand more about their bodies and why they react in a certain way. The trio tackle everything from the menstrual cycle and how it impacts on sporting performance, as well as issues such as contraception, bone health and female physiology.
